Ah, finally! Tonight there’s actually crisp fall air pouring in through the windows and it finally feels appropriate for me to share my Pumpkin Spice Protein Shake Recipe.
Besides being the perfect accessory for your UGGs and North Face fleece, this protein shake is loaded with a filling combo of fiber and protein and is low in sugar. (Take that PSL!) To top it off, pumpkin is a decent source of Vitamin E – an essential vitamin for fighting free radical damage, lowering blood cholesterol, and keeping your skin and hair soft and supple as the weather gets colder.
Pumpkin Spice Protein Shake
- 1/2c. milk of choice (as always, I use SoDelicious unsweetened coconut milk)
- 1/2c. water
- 3/4c. ice
- 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (stevia or monk fruit sweetened)
- 1/4c. pumpkin puree
- 1tsp. pumpkin pie spice
- Optional: 1-2tsp. of MCT oil
Put ingredients in blender and blend for 2-3 minutes. This is another shake that if not blended long enough, can be a little icy. 2-3 minutes on a medium to high blend setting seems to do the trick.
Pour in a glass, sip, and ignore all the haters that call you #basic for loving the crap out of pumpkin spice everything.
